From the perspective of the world's top 10 steel-producing countries (regions), in August, China's crude steel output was 77.92 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.4%; India's crude steel output was 12.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2.6%; the United States' crude steel output was 700 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%; Japan's crude steel output is 6.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%; Russia's crude steel output is estimated to be 5.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 11.5%; South Korea's crude steel output is 5.5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.2% %; Turkey's crude steel output was 3.1 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%; Brazil's crude steel output was 3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%; Germany's crude steel output was 2.9 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%; Iran's crude steel output was 1.40 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 9.9%.

In August, direct reduced iron (DRI) production in 13 countries and regions around the world was 10.47 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.3%. Among them, India's direct reduced iron production was 4.44 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%; Iran's direct reduced iron production was 3.01 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.2%. From January to August, the output of direct reduced iron in 13 countries and regions around the world was 82.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%.
